With an honours degree in Biological Sciences, Jackie began her career in scientific
publishing and spent 5 years with Pergamon Press and Elsevier Science. She moved into
medical communications in 1997 in writing and editing roles.
Jackie has experience across a range of therapy areas including women’s health, psychiatry,
endocrinology, oncology (including breast cancer and supportive care) and supportive care
for chronic pain patients. She is a key client contact, ensuring the delivery of appropriate
and accurate materials and activities, and providing strategic direction. A flexible and
creative approach has enabled Jackie to develop a variety of educational, training and
marketing materials for a range of target audiences, and to develop and manage publication
plans.
In her spare time, Jackie particularly enjoys snorkelling and diving (though only abroad as
British waters are too cold and murky!); and also likes to indulge her love of cooking and
eating (but without her colleague, Scott’s, obsession for rocket).
